
Britannia Village is celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the first Britannia Mine townsite Copper Queen celebration in 1926 by launching Britannia Day, a new community festival.
On, Sunday, May 17th this spring festival will include a kids bike parade, arts & crafts sale, patio parties, and an art walk. There will be something for everyone to enjoy!
- Sign on for the Kids Bike Parade will be between 10 and 11am with every participating kid receiving prizes like a free Mine Museum entry, free ice cream, and free GranFondo water bottle. Theres’s no cost to enter but a parent or guardian must be on hand to sign a waiver.
- Live music and DJs will run all day highlighted by a set from BC favourite WiL at 6pm in Memorial Park.
- The Arts & Crafts Fair will take place in the Community Hall from noon-6pm.
- The Art Walk will showcase local artists and their work throughout the village starting at noon.
