CELEBRATE IN BRITANNIA VILLAGE

Squamish-based Andy Anissimoff is a Canadian born artist who has been creating original paintings since 2004. His style is a recognizable part of the Sea to Sky aesthetic, reinterpreting the area’s landscapes and wildlife with signature bold dashes of colour and unique geometric renderings. The Sea to Sky Gallery is honoured to be showcasing a collection of Andy’s new and previously unseen works from Friday October 16th to Thursday, October 29th. The Sea to Sky Gallery in Britannia Village is pleased to welcome award-winning BC landscape and adventure photographer Mike Crane for a new exhibition from Thursday October 8th to Tuesday, October 27th. His work is born through exploration and adventure in the British Columbia Coast mountains and beyond with unique landscapes often captured during multiple day human powered journeys exploring the vast beauty in our local mountains. After a successful launch of our outdoor Sunday Makers pop-ups this summer, we’re keeping the energy high with our “First Sunday Makers” monthly events in the Britannia Village Community Hall. We’ll be welcoming and celebrating local artists, makers and small businesses through the fall and winter months. From candlemaker and handmade jewelry to fragrances, illustrations and vintage clothing, Sunday Makers is a chance to see the creations of local makers and artisans at Britannia Village. The event runs from 1pm-5pm on the first Sunday of each month beginning October 4th. If you create something by hand and would like to join us, there’s no vendor fee, just an opportunity to share your work with locals and travellers making their way…

The Sea to Sky Gallery in Britannia Village is bringing summer to a close with a special exhibition celebrating the art and beauty of the automobile. Located on the legendary Sea to Sky Highway, Britannia Village is a favourite spot for drivers driving their luxury and vintage vehicles between Vancouver and Whistler. From Friday September 25 to Sunday, September 27, four local artists Andy Anissimoff, Steve Baylis, Mark Fromson, and Mike Ng, will showcase one-of-a-kind pieces and custom works celebrating the automobile for its beauty and performance. The gallery will be hosting the event in conjunction with local auto enthusiasts and clubs who will be in attendance through the weekend.
