Britannia Village is looking forward to celebrating its first official Canada Day in Sea to Sky Country with great local live music in Memorial Park by the Britannia Beach All-Stars from 3pm-8pm.
The sets will cover everything from Latin music to Canadiana covers with music lovers invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets to stretch out on the grass. With The Sound Public House and Britannia General Store getting front row seats for the music, their patios are a must-visit Canada Day destination.
For an extra dose of Canadian pride, Kawartha Dairy will be serving up their just-released “Tragically Chip” ice cream– maple whisky flavoured packed with dark chocolatey chunks and a rich black cherry ripple. Part proceeds from this partnership with the Tragically Hip will go to Breakfast Club Canada and its mission to help kids across the country access a nutritious breakfast.
With family friendly fun at the Fire Hall earlier in the day and live music and lawn games at the Britannia Mine Museum, Canada Day will offer a full day of free events for all ages.
