Dual exhibition coming to Sea to Sky Gallery
The Sea to Sky Gallery in Britannia Village is thrilled that its upcoming dual exhibition opening July 24 will showcase the works of two Squamish-based artists whose works capture the majesty of the natural world while exploring the threats and challenges it faces. Mathias Horne uses his acrylic paintings to support initiatives on the forefront of wildlife protection. Combining traditional painting with insights gained from working alongside explorers, scientists, and NGOs to create projects, his works offer audiences immersive experiences which sit at the intersection of fine art and scientific insight. Sunday Makers at Britannia Village

We’re starting something we’d love to see become a Sunday tradition. Beginning this summer, Britannia Village will be home to Sunday Makers, a weekly pop-up celebrating local artists, makers and small businesses. If you create something by hand, grow it, bake it, design it or dream it up, we’d love to have you join us.There’s no vendor fee, just an opportunity to share your work with locals and travellers making their way along the Sea to Sky. Weekly art walk coming to Britannia Village
This summer, Sea to Sky Gallery and Britannia Village will be hosting a weekly art walk based on the legendary Playa del Carmen CaminArte. Beginning August 1st, local artists and creators will set up throughout the village each Saturday from 3pm to 8pm allowing art lovers and visitors to take in the works on display at their own pace, interacting with the artists and enjoying the unique Britannia Village historic setting where Howe Sound meets the Coast Mountains. With restaurants and shopping to enjoy, the art walk will be a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of Sea to Sky Country and the artistic spirit it inspires in the people who call it home.
